While reading the book Snowbound by Harry Mazer, my English students were asked to create a piece of creative writing using specific vocabulary words assigned them. They had a choice of writing a story, poem, or song using these words within their creative writing as well as adding other words to create a story. This class chose to do a song for their creative writing piece to the Elvis Presley tune of All Shook Up.
